Despite a “leisurely” effort this log was good enough for 1st place worldwide! Of course, GridLoc was a short lived contest created by George Fremin (WB5VZL, K5TR) and myself so mind share and participation was not terribly high. By using Maidenhead grid squares as multipliers scores could climb rather high with lower QSO counts.

Once again the conditions were not too great for this contest.
However things were easier than last year.
The club's new Force 12 C-4 antenna seemed to work well.
Thanks to Tom (SQ9DDZ) for loaning the club his laptop computer
to perform the logging functions.

As you can see, it was fairly leisurely. We concentrated on having
fun and getting some experience for those new to HF contesting.
