February is a short month. So it’s fitting to also have a small number of cards come through the inbox. Here are a few that are of some interest.
This card from OH0Z confirms a CW contact on 10M. Aland Island is a group of autonomous Finnish Islands in the middle of the Baltic Sea.
I’d waited a long time to get this contact confirmed. I made a 20M SSB QSO with EX0A in Kyrgyzstan in 1993. But I finally reached out and got it confirmed this century. This QSL Card is another example of an ancient QSO of mine, finally confirmed.
My only contacts with Wake Island were made with KH7AL/KH9 in 2025. This card confirms CW, SSB and FT8 QSOs on the 20M, 15M and 12M bands. The FT8 contact was even made from my modest home station.
