Arab African League Award

Founded in 1945, Arabic speaking countries formed the Arab League to draw its members closer and foster cooperation. Today there are 22 member states. The FT8 Digital Mode Club (FT8DMC) sponsors the Arab League Award (ALA) for working Amateur Radio stations residing within those countries. But there’s another FT8DMC award requiring contacts with Arab League nations solely in Africa. That would be the Arab African League Award (AALA).

AALA is issued in three classes, depending upon how many unique Arab African stations you work. The entry level award requires 5 stations, the next level 10 and the highest level a total of 15 stations.

The certificate features a detailed photo of an African animal. Each level award has a unique picture.

To apply for the Arab African League Award, and all other FT8DMC awards, you must install the UltimateAAC application on a Windows machine. That application scans your WSJT-X ADIF log file and will inform you when you’ve qualified for the award at various levels. FT8DMC issues the award in digital form only (JPG or PDF) with no printing or shipping costs. In fact, the award is completely free, like all of their other awards.
