Awards come in all levels of difficulty. If you are looking for a quick way to earn an operating award look no further than the My Birthday Award, sponsored by Paolo Corsetti, IK3GER.
To qualify for the award you need only make 5 contacts via Amateur Radio on your birthday. That’s it! There is no requirement about how far away the contacted stations need to be. So even the most modest of stations can easily qualify for this award.
Endorsements on the award are available for both band and mode. In addition, you can obtain a new certificate every year if you continue to make contacts on your birthday.
There is no cost for the My Birthday Award. It’s delivered as a PDF file although a JPG version is also available upon request. You need only provide a list of contact information in a spreadsheet form and email it to Paolo at the email address in the award rules.
