Worked All Japan Call Area – ERC

You can earn the Worked All Japan Call Area from the European ROS Club (ERC) by working Amateur Radio stations in each of the 10 Japanese call areas. This award is a synonym of the Japan Amateur Radio League‘s All Japan Districts award. But this award doesn’t cost anything!

In addition to the basic award you can also chase after certificates for working all call areas on a single band. Supported bands run from 160M all the way through 2M.

The certificates feature a Samurai warrior striking with a sword along with a map of Japan showing all 10 call areas. The map of Japan includes the Kuril Islands, currently occupied by Russia. It’s another example of geopolitical disputes found on some awards.

Applying for the Worked All Japan Call Area award, and other ERC awards, requires installing UltimateAAC. It’s an application that scans your WSJT-X ADIF log file and can tell you whether you have made the required contacts for the award.
